At times people wonder why there website is not showing up in the google ranking they have submitted the website and verified the website but it is still has not been indexed by googlebots. Well first things is you need to be patient after submission it could take from 2 to 3 days depending upon certain other factors for your website to start showing up on google, and it takes even longer for other Search Engines.
Now if your website is nowhere to be found then start checking you website for the following information.
1) URL or Domain name:
The domain name of the website should not look like a spam website; it should not be too long or should not contain confusing numeric characters or signs. While acquiring a domain name you should take special care to go for dot com if possible or other option dot net or org but do not acquire a domain name like cheap alternative i-e dot us or dot info or dot bz or dot cc. The period of website expiry should not be for few months. From Search Engine's point of view you need to register the website for a longer period like 4 or 5 years. This gives the idea that the website would be around for a longer period and this creates a sort of trust amongst Search Engines.
2) Website Pages:
Usually spam websites does not contain Contact Us, Privacy Policy or Copyright information pages. Thus, in order to let the Search Engine know that your website is genuine you need to have these pages. Search Engines play close attention to the number of pages and content of pages. This brings me to the 3rd factor.
3) Contact Duplication or Stuffing Keywords:
You need to make sure that you are posting quality content and keywords are not just stuffed into the content of the web pages.
4) Links Factor:
Spam websites usually contain many external links to other low quality spam sites so you need to make sure that all the external links are pointing to good websites with good page ranking. Although it won't do your website much good but will inform the search engine about the authenticity of websites.
5) Ads and Pop-ups:
If you want your website to have top page ranking among all the good search engines then you need to make sure that you don't have over loaded the website with irrelevant ads or pop ups. If your website contains many popup then it will give the impression of as spam website. Therefore, have to make sure to minimize the pop-ups as possible.
6) Technical factors:
Spam website often use redirects (JavaScript, Met Refresh, etc.) from landing pages. Spam websites also often use cloaking. Of course, other spam elements such as hidden text also cause problems with search engines.
If your website uses many of the elements mentioned above then it could be classified as spam. In that case, you should consider a redesign of your website.
Search engines will regard your website as a high quality website if it has high quality links and useful content that can easily be parsed by search engines. Avoid everything that could look like spam and make sure that your web pages contain the right keywords in the right elements in the right density
